Anything You'd Like...

Hey, it's me again!

Well, even thought the exams are over, some of my time is still being taken away for other purposes. Thus, updating the days which I've missed out so far would take some time. (A week's worth? Aw, man...)

But anyway, although today is Sunday, and I should be recording down the sermon I learnt today, I think I'd better pass this one. It didn't really speak to me that well, and there's no point sharing a message you don't fully understand, so I'll just leave it be till my time of comprehension come.

But so as to at least share something about Christ today, I'll just share a short bit on one of the few verses I relied on during my PSLE period. *ahem* Please flip with me to Isaiah 54:13. It says,

'I myself will teach your people, and give them prosperity and peace.'
(Good News Bible)

Now, remember that the Bible wasn't originally in English. No, the Old Testament was in Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek. So have an open mind, especially with these two languages. You see, these languages are a lot more accurate in their meanings than in English, and also the cultures of that time are different from the modern era, so the English Bible you're reading may not give the exact detail.

For example, in this verse, it says that you would have 'prosperity and peace'. Well in Hebrew, prosperity is prosperity, no difference in there. But for the term 'peace', there's a larger meaning to it. In today's context, 'peace' would have a 'leave-me-alone-in-Perth' kind of definition. But back in Israel during the Old Testament times, 'peace' was more than that. A direct translation would say that it meant 'to enjoy any prosperity given to the reciever'.
So let's see the verse again;
'I myself will teach your people, and give them prosperity and [the pleasure to enjoy the prosperity].'

So now that you've got a comfirmation that you'll not only get prosperity but the pleasure to enjoy it, delcare now any prosperity you'd like to gain! Weather it be grades, finances, family or friends - God will personally teach you through to the victory!
Nothing much to write now, but just that you should slap your face against the frying pan if you didn't know what day it is today.

Mother's Day.

So if you haven't bought a present or made a card yet, please do so NOW. And for those who already did their part, well God be with you and your Mom. May God bless the many Moms around the world today! So before I leave to sponser for any gift my Mom would ask from me (Last year, I bought her a pair of 'Titanic' shoes. Wonder what it'll be this time...), I'll just leave you with the lyrics of a few songs (I will still dedicate my Sundays to God). Pray for me, as I've prayed for you!...

Above All
Above all powers, above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began

Above all kingdoms, above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what you're worth

[Chorus]
Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

Above all powers, above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began

Above all kingdoms, above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what you're worth

[Chorus]
Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me

[Repeat Chorus]
Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

In Christ Alone
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save

Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost it's grip on me ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(*Amen!)
For I am His and He is mine
Brought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny

No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand'
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

Let Everything That Has Breath
[Chorus]
Let everything that, everything that
Everything that has breath praise the Lord
Let everything that, everything that
Everything that hast breath praise the Lord

Praise You in the morning
Praise You in the evening
Praise You when I'm young and when I'm old
Praise You whem I'm laughing
Praise You when I'm grieving
Praise You every season of the soul

[Bridge]
If we could see how much You're worth
Your power, You might, Your endless love
Then surely we would never cease to praise

[Chorus]
Let everything that, everything that
Everything that has breath praise the Lord
Let everything that, everything that
Everything that hast breath praise the Lord

Praise You in the heavens
Join with the angels
Praising You forever and a day
Praise You on the earth now
Join with creation
Calling all the nations to Your praise

[Bridge]
If they could see how much You're woth
Your power, Your might, Your endless love
Then surely they would never cease to praise

[Chorus]
Let everything that, everything that
Everything that has breath praise the Lord
Let everything that, everything that
Everything that hast breath praise the Lord

I will worship, I will worship
I will worship You with every breath
I will worship, I will worship
I will worship You with every breath
