Smile for your brother...

For records' sake, I shall share how things went last night.

My gift to my Mom was to sponser any gift she'd request from me, even if it meant my allowance. But my Mom, being moved, decided to just keep it small and told me she just wanted a treat for te family at BristoDelifrance, of which I agreed to. But by the time we reached Delifrance, the shop was just half an hour from closing. For those who don't know, it takes an average of half an hour in Delifrance for your orders to be served, inclusive of time to order the order itself.

So my Mom decided to move over to Swedsens, which we later discovered had a long queue at the entrance. So we ended up going all the way to MacDonalds for a simple supper of Apple Pies, Ice Creams, Milkshakes and a coffee. How sweet!

After our meal, I asked Mom if that was all she wanted. As we were making our way to exit Bukit Panjang Plaza, she was loosely nodding here head until we passed by a Bata shop, where she started to walk in and test out the shoes on a particular rack. We ended up leaving with a box or two of shoes, all on my expence! :)

That's about it, then. Now for what happened today:

First to start off the day, we had History. And for this lesson, it was announced that we had to do a Documentary related to topics we've recently covered, like Colonialisim and World War II, to gain the entire 15% worth of marks in Term 3. On the outside, I was simply smiling and saying a few "Yes!"s here and there, but in the inside, I was jumping around my mind with excitement the squared equivalent of a Michael Kwan that just won a couple of thumb wrestles against Jaira.

An advantage I had for this project was that I had the Advantage of the Stage. The camera can easily be my friend, and I wouldn't mind risking my reputation at large on the expense of my audience's entertainment. When Sir said it was a group project, I was even more excited as I knew I'd be able to share the fun with friends! After being divided into groups of 5/6 with the help of Mr. Ang's methods, I was soon hired into Tim's group, along with Junn Kit, Peter and Shiladitya.

We were then given the remaining time in the lesson to assign the diferent roles in the groups and discuss on the topic our documentaries would be based on. I was given the role of Scriptwriter along with Shil, JKit had Cameraman, Peter had Asst. Director and Tim with, obviously, Director. We then discussed on what to do for our film, and we came up with the question on 'What would happen if General Percival never surrendered?'. Soon enough, the lesson ended, and Sir promised us that he'll show us a good example of an extremely good documentary done by Year 4 students. Can't wait to see my goals...

The rest of the day was rather slack, except for Mdm. Kavita's period. One thing surprising, after we greeted Mdm, Tim suddenly asked her if she was once at a particular location, complete with a list of specific location, timing, actions and the sort. Mdm then asked back on how'd he have known if she was there in the first place. The class then spurred out a low-toned "Stalker!" at him and began giggling a bit. It just makes you want to sing,

Poor fool, he makes me laugh!
Hahahahaha!
Hahahahahahahaha, hahahahahahahaha!
Caught for stalking over Mdm Kavita!

Poor fool, Timothy Goh!
Hohohohoho!
Hohohohohohohoho, hohohohohohohoho!
If he knew the truth, he'd bend his head down low!

(Sorry 'bout the cheesiness, but that Phantom of the Opera soundtrack is really creeping into my head...)

But true enough, he did bend his head down and snugged it into folded arms over his desk. That wasn't so shocking, but what suddenly scared me was when he started whimperring weird noises which sounded like...

I immediately asked him if he was okay, but he didn't seem to answer. Mdm aslo saw his state, and also asked if anything was wrong. I answered her back that he was probably shy, only to shut my mouth silent after realising that I've might have made things worse. But soon enough, Tim was out of his arms and smiling with sheer confidence like as if nothing happened, so I took it that everything was and had always been fine, shifting my attention back to Mdm Kavita.

Apparently, she wanted to show us the rest of the MSND film, but our speakers somehow didn't work so she moved on to an alternative of checking our files. And since I didn't bring my file, I was left with a warning to bring my file the next lesson (This wed). Ah, well.

My class had to be dismised early for the CIP duty laid ahead of us at the Handicapped Welfare Association. We had an early lunch, then boarded the bus at the bus bay to the Association, along with another four random guys who never made it for their class's CIP. Clifton was part of that group, how surprising.

After 54 (incomplete) 'bottles of beer on the wall', a couple of Barney and Spongebob Squarepants theme songs and a sling fight involving a dozen stones from the busbay, we arrived at our destination. We gathered around the entrance of the office, where we met up with the person in charge of the place. She gave an introduction to the place, and also introduced us to a few members of the association. We also gave her our $300-odd donation and the snacks we bought for them and also had a chat with the people or a game with a good, although handicapped, snooker player.

Once we had half an hour left to spare with them, we went out to the fields to clear out the leaves that covered them, and it was rather cheap-thrill gathering leaves without sinking into the mudholes in the field. Something like Minesweeper, really.

Once done, we then said out goodbyes and went back to the entrance of the building to wait for our bus back to school. During our wait, ZRong was doing the ussual massage on me in search of my blackbook. Shil, noticing what was going on, asked him to stop grouping me.

Once he said that, it finally came to my attention that ZRong had truely been stroking me in the oddest of fashions lately. Caresting my hair, holding my hand, jabbing my body, and the sort. I then said my mind out along with him, which ticked of ZRong and made him do something else which made Tim agree with the both of us.

Ah,well. Won't say anything further.

After the long wait, we finally had our bus, and after loads of To Poks and half a mime war, we were finally back in school.

The End, or so they say...
