In Music, Kirby presented 'Call Me When You're Sober' for his presentation. A nice heavy song with tiny classical twists time after time. The thing was that he didn't do much (or should I say do anything) for the oral part of the presentation where he talks about the song and so on. So he's garunteed by Mr. Lee to have 'not done well'. Then it was Faraaz's turn, but he somehow couldn't use his tablet and couldn't play the song of his presentation. Pity.
But after settling the terms that Faraaz would present next week, we were given a lecture about music video and how its artisticness was suppose to blend in with the song. Giving an example, he played the music video for 'A Song For Mama'. It was a touching song about the love for a mother, and the video itself was just as touching. Esspecially the scene where a son was crying as he saw his mom lying motionless on a hospital bed. Being the 'touchable' guy I can be, I almost cried but was saved in time when I saw the later half of the video which had one of the worst animation qualities to have ever made it in one piece to the 21th Century. That's just me being the 'technical' guy I can tend to be. Figures...
Then came CL'B', and for now, all I can say is that I think I'm starting to get the hang of being the classmate of Shawn Ku (if that's how you spell it). If Jaira can talk about him with a smile on his face, I assume that there's more to Shawn I've yet to see and rely on for judgement. All I know is that there's always more and more evidence I see everyday that show that there's another side of him, that God always has everthing under control, that He will never give me too much that I can't handle and that all things He allow, as long as I trust Him and allow Him to take control over the situation, would always lead for the better.
Next was recess, and since today's Fried Food Day, I bought the ussual Teriyaki Fried Chicken Rice! (Scream!) Oh, I loooove Fried Food Day!!!... I then searched for the table where I assumed most of the class was seated and sat along with them. There was an available spot next to Calvin, but Toj wanted me to sit at the edge of the table next to him, and so I went along. I then had a quiet meal (a ussual thing for me) while I listened to Jai telling Toj how I've been writing into this blog on how I appreciate their hospitality in the Canteen.
For Enrichment Programme, our class had to do BizWizz or something like that. It's basically an enlarged version of Monopoly, just that the 'Stock Market' is involved. I've been chosen to be in Michael's group and was assigned as one of The Vice-Presidents of the group and Personel-In-Charge of Design. I've yet to understand the market system...
Then came the test. The Life Science Commonn Test. (Scream!) The questions were quite hard, but I praise the Lord that much of what I studied was relevant for the paper. Phew. But at the same time, I did miss out on a few details here and there. (Gasp!) Oh, well. Once I finished, I did the ussual things I'd do while waiting for the time to be up; Drink up all the remaining water in my water bottle in one go, practicing on how to mimic a dinosaur using my hands, attempting to go to sleep but most likely failing, watching what the other people behind me are doing using my watch as a mirror, ect. As far as I saw, Justinn, Tim and Joel were the only ones who made it to dreamland. No fair.
After the test, we all grabbed our bags and left the classroom, discussing with each other what our answers were. I walked my way to the school bus stop, meeting Kirby along the way and Tim, Aik Leng and a few other Retard Squad members at the stop itself. When we got onto the bus, I found out that they (except Kirby) were headed for KAP (MacDonald's, King Albert Park) to celebrate Han Jie's birthday. Being qurious about what the ACPS Boys' lives are like, I asked if I could join in. I wouldn't have been surprised if they told me no, but I guess you know what happened. Tim asked that if a 'looser' like him could go, why couldn't I? Tim? 'Looser'? Always looking at him as one of the most powerful icons in the ACPS GEP world, I never knew how those words came together. But it's his vocabulary, I guess...
The rest of the bus journey consisted of either one of these at all times:
1) A 'Q-and-A' session conducted by me on the lifestyles of the ACPS boys.
2) Simple chat with Tim.
3) Quiet stoning.
Once at the alighting bus stop, the boys J-walked across the road to the other side where KAP was, leaving me, in my almost full Assistant Prefect Uniform, to walk the full route to the traffic light crossing. Knowing the acess points to the compound well (Lived within the area for about 11 years) I caught up with them guys and proceeded into the building. I followed Tim and Kirby as they were led by the others in circles through the outlet, only to leave the three of us and make us realize we were being ambushed and ditched. This, according to Tim, was understandable as a) Kirby ussually ruined parties, esspecially those involving girls, b) Someone in the party group had grudges against .10ers and c) I was concidered new and not many would know me ythat well.
So we decided to sit somewhere near the main entrance and went to buy our stuff. I bought the ussual: Cheeseburger, Apple Pie and Vanila Milkshake. When I got back to the table, I sat down and ate along with Tim, until he soon found 'someone of known-being' at the other side of the level we were tabled on. Wanting to visit, he left me to take care of his food. With the fact that the time was already 3.30 p.m., I'd concider that as a big mistake. Being hungry as I was, and with Tim's fries calling me with an imaculate chorus, I couldn't fight the overwhelming temptations. :P Not sure if he saw me eating them, but I just want to say sorry Tim... :(
When everyone(3) of us were back, we continued our meals while Kirby and Tim entrilled me with tales of the ACPS life. They then did a comentary on the other ACPS boys who were seated about 5-7 tables away as we watched them celebrate the birthday party from where we were seated.
The Commentators
The Commented
After sometime of lecturing on their behaviours, Kirby decided to try his (slim) luck in going over to their table and join in the activities, which I so far noticed was talking about gaming, attempting stunts with their food and flirting with the female guests. Tim and I watched as he proceeded to the other table and stayed there for another 5 minutes. When he signaled to us that there was peace between them and us, we grabbed our bags (and I grabbed the free napkins) and we migrated over to their end of the joint. I stood there watching what they each did and how they react to/with each other. It was facinating to watch how Kirby's randomness actually plays a part in holding the structure of their sociality and how it fit's perfectly into the society. But I knew that despite how interested I was in the topic, I had to go home soon and so I slowly stepped back bit by bit. But5 Kirby and Tim were also finding their que of leave and so asked me to wait for them outside.
After stoning with Ronald MacDonald at the main entrance for a few minutes, I recieved a call from Tim telling me to go meet him at (static), so I crossed over to the other side. But after finding no Kirby or Tim, I assumed that I misunderstood their instructions and made a couple of rounds around the building before concluding that I was left behind. Walking to the bus-stop, I praised the Lord for blessing me with the opportunity to discover this side of the Secondary World.
Now to report to my parents how Life Sciences was like...
