First canoeing trainning of 2007 today! It was painful, cold and calf-recking, but somehow... 'fun'.
Wierd, huh.
For those who don't know, the P.U.B. drained a great amount of MacRitchie last week so as to prevent any flooding caused by the heavy rain and millions worth of damages. So right now, MacRitchie looks kinda shallow for a canoeist. Especially at 1) Pontoon, 2) Concrete Launch (This area is suppose to be underwater. Now all the concrete slabs are practically above the water.) and 3) the shores around 200m Lagoon (An obvious streak of light brown mud can be seen below the full greenery). I guess that's why it was easy to empty and recover my boat when I capsized at 250 Mark. (It was the Mosquito K2 again, if you're asking.)
Anyway, the time has come for me to face a new year in school. A new year as a Year 2 Senior. A new year as an Assistant Prefect. A new year as a K2 Rower. A new yea... well, you get the idea, right?
So it's time to face the beat, get down an' jiggy with it! Can't wait to see my classmates again!...
