Blessed New Year to One and All!...

Happy New Year!!!

Well, mathematically, the real new year should be today at 12noon, so we all still have a lot of time if you didn't stay up. Anyway, as I bid goodbye to 2006 to make way for '07, I guess I might as well just reflect on what I've gone through for the past year and record it here so my future me will never forget. Here goes:

The year was special in its own way, just like any other year. First year of Secondary School Life. First year of ACSian addoption. Second year of knowing God with a strong and loving relationship.

And many new 'upgrades' came into my life, like a Tablet PC (that one was really useful for personal research), Additional Tie for Uniform (I love the tie), new Watch, new Handphone (3G!) and Prefectorial Power (A small portion of it for starters...)!

But what's a show with Plots and Props when there's no Characters? I really have to thank all the people involed in my life this year as they really made a difference. Otherwise, why would God put them there in the first place?

Oh! Must not forget the Director, the Lord Almighty Himself! I must truely praise Him for all the blessings He's given me for the year, from allowing me to enter into the IB system to helping me break off a whole chunky layer of shyness from me!

Praise the Lord with all the Glory!

So here's a list of people I'd like to thank for helping out in my life in 2006, (in order of appearance so it's easier for me to remember):

Aunt Mary - For the lovely Coconut Cakes and other nice cookings you made for the family.
(You see, Aunt Mary came from the Northern Province of Pampanga in The Philippines, and it's in that province where almost everyone knows how to cook and bake extremely well. The people here are also known to be the most hardworking as the land there is more 'rock' than 'soil', thus it requires a whloe lot more effort to just plough the ground for farming and harvest. If you only prefer spicy chillies and curries or coconut-related dishes, you should go towards the Southern parts at Bicol, where my Granma came from. In that area, even a simple banana would be fried with coconut milk or oil, and every vegetable dish comes with chilli paddies. Now that's a tip or two for those getting maids...)

Keygan and Ben - For being such great Prefect Seniors.

Alex and Ryan - For being such great Assistant Prefect coleagues.

If your name is not on the list it could either mean that 1) I don't know how to spell your name properly and do not want to make a careless attempt to try and spell it, 2) I don't even know your name at all and 3) I don't even know you.

Oh, look! Fireworks!!!
